Hi, I’m Colin. I spent years in the classroom as a teacher, where my passion for both education and technology grew hand-in-hand. During my years in the classroom, I faced a constant frustration: I struggled to measure the things that truly mattered for my students' futures. What I found most effective was simple – an individualized conversation. It was during these one-on-one interactions that I could really gauge whether my students grasped a concept. But with a full class and limited time, having those meaningful conversations with every student wasn’t just difficult – it was impossible.
That’s why I created CheckIn AI. I wanted to give teachers the power to have those individualized conversations with every student, all at once. Too often, educational technology feels like it works against teachers, overwhelming them with complexity or undermining their expertise. I built CheckIn AI to do the opposite – to support teachers and amplify their abilities.
